The The – Love Is Stronger Than Death

The The - Love Is Stronger Than Death - Nowhere - Ecstasy Generation

Perle Dimenticabili tira fuori pezzi deprecabili e assurdi, trovati conservati, per strani motivi, nel mio personale etere.

Vediamo oggi cosa esce fuori... 🙂

The The - Love Is Stronger Than Death

Love Is Stronger Than Death is a song from The The's album Dusk. It was written by Matt Johnson, the only constant member of The The. Johnson wrote this song following the death of his brother. In his depression, he found that writing this song was therapeutic for him.

The title is a paraphrase of a biblical quote: "Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame." (Song of Solomon 8:6).

The song is also featured on the soundtrack to the Gregg Araki movie Nowhere, and plays over the film's closing credits.

is a 1997 American black comedy drama film written and directed by Gregg Araki and starring James Duval and Rachel True as Dark and Mel; a bisexual teen couple.

The film is part of a series of three films by Araki nicknamed the "Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy". Other films in that trilogy are Totally Fucked Up (1993) and The Doom Generation (1995), with Nowhere being the third and last. The film is highly sexual and contains scenes of graphic violence.

The film is notable in that it features a variety of actors who had, at the time, not yet reached their current level of stardom, including Ryan PhillippeMena SuvariKathleen Robertson, and Denise Richards.

As in other films by Araki, various celebrities from the past 40 years make cameos, including Shannen DohertyCharlotte RaeDebi MazarJordan LaddChristina ApplegateJeremy JordanJaason SimmonsBeverly D'AngeloEve PlumbChristopher KnightTraci LordsRose McGowanJohn RitterStaci KeananDevon OdessaChiara Mastroianni, the Brewer twins and Brian Buzzini.

The The (/ðə ðə/) are an English post-punk band. They have been active in various forms since 1979, with singer/songwriter Matt Johnson being the only constant band member.

The The achieved critical acclaim and commercial success in the UK, with 15 chart singles (seven reaching the Top 40), and their most successful album, Infected (1986), spent 30 weeks on the chart. They followed this with the Top Ten albums Mind Bomb (1989) and Dusk (1993).

The The è un gruppo musicale post punk inglese attivo con diverse formazioni dal 1979 e con il cantante e autore Matt Johnson come unico membro fisso.
