Christone Kingfish Ingram - The Thrill Is Gone
The Thrill Is Gone è uno standard blues composto dai musicisti West coast blues Roy Hawkins e Rick Darnell e pubblicato come singolo nel 1951, raggiungendo la sesta posizione della Billboard R&B chart. Molte cover sono state realizzate di questo brano, ma la più nota rimane quella del chitarrista statunitense B.B. King, che nel 1970 diventò una vera e propria hit e una delle produzioni più apprezzate dell'artista.
Christone "Kingfish" Ingram is a blues guitarist and singer from Clarksdale, Mississippi who has been playing music from a young age. The musicians he has recorded with include Eric Gales. He has shared the stage with well-known blues artists who have also been around for a long time. He has also played with younger blues musicians such as Samantha Fish. One of his earliest influences in blues is Muddy Waters.
The May 18, issue of Billboard indicated that Luke Cage creator, Cheo Hodari Coker selected Ingram along with other acts to appear in a cameo role for the season two of the series. Season 2 premiered on June 22, 2018 with Ingram appearing in Episode 4 where he performed two songs “The Thrill is Gone” and “I Put A Spell On You.”
